A Few Morning Photos

I start every day with a hike, often as the sun is rising and on occasion hike to the top of Picken’s Nose, a nearby mountain before dawn to watch the sun rise (see earlier posts). The ever-changing mist and the clouds in the morning are fascinating to me. I have documented the fog down in the Betty’s Creek bog as well as from the top of Picken’s Nose. Within moments the scene can change completely. Head East Old Man is pretty much my motto on the morning strolls and in the growing season I’m on my knees in the garden facing east. Greet the sun! These photos are from a recent morning. The soft, even fog and the light conveys a feeling of an old, hand tinted photograph.

Craig!! I want to paint these! But that would be redundant because it looks as if you already did. Yes, they resemble old hand-tinted photographs or Hudson Valley landscapes. Gorgeous.

    1. Thanks. I agree they do look like hand tinted photos.
