I live basically next door to the Hambidge Center, an artist residency program created by Mary Hambidge in 1934. Besides taking advantage of the programs and meeting artists from all over the world I have taught and taken several workshops. Check out their website at www.hambidge.org. One project I did was to produce a portfolio of photo-etchings too be given as donor gifts. Here is the set, The Rock House, Mary’s Loom, Gregor Turk’s sculpture Phalanx and The Piano in the Woods. Another photo-etching is Barker’s Creek Mill, one of the last water powered, stone ground mills in the nation. Hambidge runs it the first Saturday of every month.
