Up the Nose Again

I was able to go on another pre-dawn hike up Picken’s Nose with a group of Hambidge residents. It is the best money shot for the effort of any of the trails I know around here. Out of the seven of us that went today four went for the first time. Newbies are always awed and I understand because every time I go I have the same feeling. It never gets old. There was a lot of cloud coverage but we were above the clouds and the mountains rising from the mist look like islands in a churning sea. Day hikes and sunset hikes up the Nose are great also but there is something really special about the sunrise. A few photos from this morning.
