Billions of Ferns

There must be billions of ferns where I live, acres of New York and Hay Scented ferns along with Maiden Hair, Cinnamon, Painted, Christmas and so many others my head spins when I listen to the botanists up here. I have gone through periods when I’ve used ferns in imagery. Sometimes the prints deal with the symbology of the plant and sometimes just the formal, design elements. Here is a sampling. The more colorful, layered prints are from an earlier series and A Quiet Messenger, A Secret Bond and John Muir are from a recent re-visiting of fern imagery.
